100th year of Indian Cinema!!

The 100th year centenary of Indian cinema is being celebrated right now in Chennai as i am writing this blog,
On May 3rd  1913 the 1st Indian dumb Film Raja Harichandran was Released by
Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian Cinema , it was a Grand success.
This film was followed by more than a thousand movies till date!!

Indian Cinema has given us great personalities like Raj kapoor ,Amitab bachan ,Rajinikanth,Raja kumar,Mamooty Etc!
The president of India Pranab mukerjee adressed the gathering and presented medals to people who contributed to Indian cinema!!!!
The Chief minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha ,Governor of TN Rosaiah,Cm of kerala Uman Chandi were present in this Grand Event!!

Movies isn't just an Entertainment in India , its a way of life!!
Every movie we watch influences us in a subtle way, in India Movie star are worshiped as Demigod!!
The have this Immense aura around themselves ,which isn't possible through other professions.
My Favorite movie is Dilwale Dulhania le Jayenge (DDLJ) , Vivah, kandhalar Dhinam,VTV vinnai thandi varuvaaya?? ,Happy days,Inception,The great gastby ETC.,
Indian Cinema has this unique quality if using music to enrich its movies ,which isn't seen any other film industries.Indian Cinema is all about imagination of the director and how well the actor take in the role and portray it!!
But their is notion in Indian , no Indian families wants their son or daughter to become an Actor or Director or anything related to the film industries which should be let behind .
As we travel along time during our life people should accept others the way they are.

Indian wouldn't  be the same without Indian Cinema                                                                            -Varun

Narendra Modi is (BJP)'s PM Candidate :Top 5 Yes and No factors :)

Despite a controversial past – Narendra Modi, 64,  is accused by detractors of not doing enough to stop the 2002 riots that saw as many as 2,000 killed, most of them Muslims   his stature has grown steadily since then and he has built an
image for turning Gujarat into one of India's best-governed and most affluent states. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
has lost the last two general elections – 2004 and 2009 – and
has yet to convert its fortunes, but the Hindutva poster boy is increasingly seen as the leader who could finally return the
saffron party to power.
Promoted in 1995 to become the BJP’s national secretary, he helped orchestrate the party’s rise to power.  After taking  over the chief ministership in the wake of a disastrous earthquake, in 2001, he has been re-elected thrice, becoming  Gujarat’s longest-serving leader :) . In June this year, theBJP
appointed him chairman of its campaign committee ahead of
general elections due in 2014, signalling that Modi is its
future prime ministerial candidate and now its official BJP
announces Narendra Modi as its  Prime Ministerial
candidate. AB CONGRESS ki lag gayI! :D :P

Taking a leaf out of US President Barack Obama’s election slogan – “Yes we can, Yes we will” –  Modi launched the BJP’s poll campaign, urging non-Congress Opposition to joins hands to rid the country of the United Progressive Alliance’s  (UPA) corruption filled misrule of INDIA FOR 10 grueling years!!
For the BJP to get anything near to the 180 (out of 545) seats it needs in 2014 to be sure of leading a coalition government, Modi must appeal beyond his base to an emerging urban middle class worried about jobs, development and corruption.

On Solid Ground

.  Modi is today seen as a clean, efficient and no-nonsense administrator, an image that has been cultivated by sending messages to the right kind of audience. Business tycoons see him as a political enforcer who can deliver business opportunity without expensive social unrest. His model is one of ‘decentralisation of planning and empowering people’.

Modi has built a reputation as an incorruptible and efficient technocrat who has electrified Gujarat's 18,000 villages - the state is the only one in India with a near 24/7 power supply - and slashed red tape to attract companies like Ford, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors.

During Modi's 10 years as Chief Minister, Gujarat has grown an average of 10% a year. The state ranked fifth out of 15 big states in 2010-2011 in terms of per capita income. The CM boasts it is the "engine of India's economic growth." ;)

Modi has nonetheless one achievement which should persuade the voters to treat him with a measure of respect. He is the only chief minister in the country who has not allowed the mischief-making Naxalites to create a niche for themselves within his state, and this despite Gujarat having a substantially large tribal population. :)

Gujarat’s success, even Modi's detractors acknowledge, is a result of good planning  exactly what so much of India lacks. The BJP has no real choice but to bite the Modi bullet. The saffron party’s natural supporters are enthused by Modi in the same way as they were by the Ayodhya issue in 1991 and by Atal Bihari Vajpayee's leadership in 1998 and 1999.

On a Sticky Wicket

The stigma that clung to him in the aftermath of the riots has not faded. Despite his achievements as an administrator, he is still viewed through the prism of the 2002 riots. Though he came close to losing his job over his role in the riots, he expressed no regrets and admitted to no misjudgements. He remains a deeply divisive figure. However, all investigations have cleared him of any personal responsibility but one of his former ministers, Maya Kodnani, was given 28 years in jail last year for her part in the killing of 97 people in Naroda Patiya.

Opinion polls predict a close election with regional parties likely to be king-makers. Even if the BJP secures the most votes it could struggle to find partners to form a viable coalition government, especially with Modi at its head.

Political observers are of the view that Modi could be rejected by Muslims and moderate Hindus. Modi’s campaigning outside Gujarat in 2009 brought out crowds but gathered few votes.

Remember what Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had said: if you want to do politics in the country, you cannot stay away from skullcap and tilak. Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan knows this.

In a multi-ethnic/religious country like India, no leader can perhaps command the support of all communities but he must not attract the implacable hostility of India’s largest minority. For instance, former Prime Minister Vajpayee may not have enjoyed widespread support among Muslims but was not treated as an enemy either.

It will be tough going for him though in large parts of the country, particularly in the east and the south, where members of the main minority community constitute a sizeable part of the electorate. In the southern States, where the BJP has virtually no presence, the Congress’s loss cannot be the BJP’s gain. The Congress’s loss can be the BJP’s gain only in States like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Delhi where the two national parties have a direct contest. However Tamil Nadu is on the verge of supporting Narendra Modi ,BJP in the upcoming 2014 election as Jayalalitha CM of Tamil nadu has a friendly relationship with Narendra MODI JI! :)
This was clear when CM of TN Jayalalitha was present at the CM coronation function of Narendra Modi ji in Gujarat!!

The Insidious EXPERIENCE...!

The noon was all boring after returning from college actually just two  management classes
which was quite interesting because of topic that we were discussing in the last bench ,EXORCISM,existence of Ghost and my friend is from a christian family .So he explained all about exorcism ,yeah ghost are interesting & of course
curious creatures to speak about .That moment  when a single ghost topic trigger's a series of haunted stories from the people around us and most of them feels genuine except one  because the guy  who is narrating the story is Big fat liar with poor story telling skills!! lol  :D
Actually  75% part of the horror stories that we hear is  kinda exaggerated   by making a mountain out of a mole.

Only ghost stories can  create this immense curiosity in the environment just as  a gossip story dose ,everybody sitting with an owl' s eye O_O,feeding on ones own nails this is effect of a  perfect ghost when told with the apt  modulation! :P

Now i thought of writing this post so that i can narate to  u the best ghost story which i have heard and felt was  believable , scary.
The story goes like this!!!
A friend of mine Conrad he's an Anglo Indian from a family who travel  very often once when they were traveling from Pune  through a area know as Lonavala  ,the driver who was  from that region knew about that place .Some time ago a lady committed suicide by jumping in front of a truck, from then a image of a lady would appear in the center of the road
,and she wouldn't move when horned , the driver was telling all these story when they were going  to Pune  and he  told we shouldn't stop in these area.

It  is a high accident prone area in the Ghats and people notice, an accident happens every second day in that section . But surprisingly most of the accidents happen in a particular section of the road only. They even noticed an accident on that stretch on Wednesday night while going to  Pune and something weird happened with them on Thursday night in the same section when they were returning from Pune.
When they were driving through the same section , a lady was standing in the center of the road
and waving at the car ,signalling them to stop the vehicle but the driver adviced we should just drive through .But the conrad's mother asked to stop the car doubting that it was a lady who was in trouble and was in need of help!!
When the car started to decelerate the image of the lady disappeared and every body in the car  were dumbstruck again they  started and when they were coming out of this weird experience .

But then it was not over suddenly they saw the same image of the lady running parallel their car ,they were in a shock!
how come car's behind them didn't notice her or how can a lady run at the speed of a car???
The lady came to the right side rear window of the car and smiled at them and disappeared into thin air ,by this time they were all freezed ,it was so s
hocking!!!

This is the story that i hear from my friend which i felt was was real ,i even cross checked with his mother ,i don't trust that bugger! :P :D

This story literally gave me goosebum
ps...!
I don't know to what extent the story is true ,but i believe it.sounds kinda true!!!

Happy Birthday Ganesh..! :D :D

The legend says that Goddess Parvathi shaped Ganesh from sandal wood paste ,and breathed her life into the figure from which lord Ganesh came into existence, and she asked Ganesh to keep guard will she bathes.
Lord shiva came to see His wife Parvathi , ganesh didn't recognize that he was maheshwara,Bolenath the Human god Lord Shiva .So ganesh refused to allow him in ,which angered Shiva to dance his Rudra narthana and he severed  the head of Ganesh  with his trident ,trishool!!!!
When parvathi returned ,and found her creation Ganesh headless she questioned about this to her lord.
But anything that is destroyed by the holy trident of Lord shiva couldn't be restored to its original form.
Hence Lord shiva sent his people to get a head from a creature that is asleep facing away from the mother towards north direction But they found only the head of a dead elephant. They brought the head of the elephant and Shiva fixed it on the child's body and brought him back to life. Lord Shiva also declared that from this day the boy would be called Ganesh the lord of ganas or elephant.
Ganesh chaturthi is the day of celebration of the rebirth of Lord Gnaesh.
Ganesha is widely worshipped as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune and traditionally invoked at the beginning of any new venture or at the start of travel. He is popularly worshipped as a remover of obstacles, though traditionally he also places obstacles in the path of those who need to be checked.
Ganesha is considered to be the Lord of letters and learning.

A clever use of ganesh and his elephant head replacement by
Indian Traffic Police Department to create awareness about wearing helmet while driving!!!! :D :P

May Lord GANESHA bring in lots of positive and good energy into our lives this day ,let him drive out the negatives from us! Lord Ganesh is a friendly god just acknowledging him at the start of any new work will bring us Prosperity and Good fortune.

Self-Confidence Re-Defined ,Varun's style! :D

Confidence is the most important thing you can teach someone... if you can teach them confidence, you don't have to teach them anything else.

Self-Confidence is all about having that faith and Trust or assurity feeling in ourselves ,which is the most important character of a person,a person who dose not believe in himself or what decision he has made ,or with what ever he is upto, will always be in turmoil or confusion!
If we wanna become a leader the most important quality that we should posses is confidence in ourselves,or the decision what we have taken!
When we speak for huge number of people only confidence will lead us,to the target we should reach,
Second thought about our decisions are quite common ,but doubting the same after the  decision has been made leads  to a unsatisfied person, with inferiority complex!!
Think Twice before any decisions is being made but never after!

Self-confidence is not a feeling of superiority, but of independence.

  • According to me the best and most easy way to regain our confidence is to ,present ourselves in a Good and stylish way .Dressing ourselves ,obviously every person likes to dress himself is a commanding outfit ,which is in the current trend.Choosing what to wear vary from person to person.
Never try to blend into the people  or surrounding where are just try to be different ,i ain't telling you to pop up  in some neon color's which is totally opposite to what i m telling you right now.lol :D
Choose your wardrobe carefully ,it should be stylish ,elegant and of course trendy .
Never be lazy about what your are gonna wear  take your time and think what kinda clothing will suite me,i m damm sure you have a image of us is a fabulous outfit just go for it.If still you have trouble in deciding what to wear ask the people close to choose for you!!
wearing a tuxedo or formal outfit with a sports shoes make me feel like puking!!  :X
I generally prefer a tuxedo or a traditional silk dhoti or pattu veshti or a kurtha depending on the occasion!!
Casually i would be seen sporting a shorts or jean with a tee and a shirt over it ,loafer or flip flops!!
Sunglasses always Wayfarer Ray ban! :D
  • What does that voice in the back of your mind say? What makes you uncomfortable or ashamed of yourself? This could be anything from , friends at school, college ,work or  negative experience. Whatever is making you feel unworthy, ashamed, or inferior, identify it and try to bring about a positive ,warm thought about the same which may not yield results now but sooner or later everything will be fine. What we think about us is the prime most factor, if we feel good and we ain't causing anybody any harm then we are on the right path.I  personally believe that divinity can help us in many ways, try praying or worshiping the creator , i m sure it will bring a warm and positive aura in and around us!
Not an easy one, take some time to dig deeper into yourself to answer why you allow others to make you feel inferior? Why don't they feel inferior? lol

  •  Let’s face it. We all worry about the past that haunt us for the fact that we correlate the failed result of a planned action with our self-esteem. We forget that  regardless of the extent of prudent thinking and planning, as a human being  we are prone to err. As I explore deeper into the reasoning for this correlation, it becomes visibly clear to me that I felt defeated when my efforts failed.
If I can detach my ego out of my thought process, I can boost my self-confidence to live life with as much passion as a mother loves her child with all his or her err.

"Human potential is the same for all. Your feeling, "I am of no value", is wrong. Absolutely wrong.
You are deceiving yourself. We all have the power of thought- so what are you lacking?
If you have willpower, then you can change anything. It is usually said that you are your own master."
With the realization of ones own potential and self-confidence in ones ability, one can build
a better world. According to my own experience, self-confidence is very important.
That sort of confidence is not a blind one; it is an awareness of ones own potential.
On that basis, human beings can transform themselves by increasing the good qualities
and reducing the negative qualities."-His Holiness Dalai lama
  • Everyone is good at something, so discover the things at which you excel, then focus on your talents. Give yourself permission to take pride in them. Give yourself credit for your successes. Inferiority is a state of mind in which you've declared yourself a victim. Do not allow yourself to be victimized. Express yourself, whether it's through art, music, writing, photography or even better start to put your thoughts into writing like me ,write a blog :D   etc. Find something you enjoy. Everyone is born with talents and strengths. You can develop and excel in yours. If it's difficult to name two or three things you have some ability in or just plain love to do, think about things others do that you would like to do too and take some lessons online . When you're following your passion, not only will it have a Positive self assured  effect, but you'll feel unique and accomplished, all of which can help build your self confidence. Plus, adding a variety of interests to your life will not only make you more confident, but it will increase your chances of meeting compatible friends and increase your friends circle.

  • A lot of the times, at the root of insecurity and lack of confidence is a feeling of not having enough of something, whether it's good friends, family, good luck, money or what ever. By acknowledging and appreciating what you do have, you can combat the feeling of being incomplete and unsatisfied. Finding that inner peace will do wonders for your confidence.
Avoid self-pity and sympathy of others. Never allow others to make you feel inferior
they can only do so if you let them. If you continue to see yourself down and belittle yourself, others are going to do and believe likewise. Instead, speak think and acting positively about yourself, about your future, and about your progress. Do not be afraid to project your strengths and qualities to others
  • The last but the most important factor is , the way we interact with people in our daily life. Most successfull people are those who know they Art of interacting and dealing with people.
When you know you're kind to the people around you, and are making a positive difference in other people's lives, you'll know that you are a positive force in the world which will boost your self confidence.Thank people in our daily life no matter  how small ,the act committed by them .These act of kindness will put a smile on people's face.At the same time compliment people for the work they have done .Feel Free compliment the other person this will encourage him to put maximum effort the next time!!!.
Correcting people can be made easier and the friction in the conversation can be decreased by a simple compliment used in the right manner, but don't over do it! :P

Self-confidence comes from being challenged to one's limits, meeting them and then setting new limits.

Ha Ha , i thought i should keep this post as small  and concised as possible but couldn't help .
Sorry if i have been too spiritual in my explanations! :D lol

The Mountain MAN!!!

Dashrath Manjhi- The Mountain MAN #Respect

Dashrath Manjhi was born into a poor labourer family in Gahlour village near Gaya in Bihar, India. He is also known as Mountain Man. Manjhi's wife, Falguni Devi, died due to lack of medical treatment because the nearest town with a doctor was 70 kilometres (43 mi) away from their village in Bihar, India.

Manjhi did not want anyone else to suffer the same fate as his wife, so he carved a 360-foot-long through-cut, 25-foot-deep in places and 30-foot-wide to form a road through a mountain in the Gehlour hills, working day and night for 22 years from 1960 to 1982. His feat reduced the distance between the Atri and Wazirganj blocks of the Gaya district from 55 km to 15 km, bringing him national acclaim. He died on August 17, 2007. He was given a state funeral by the Government of Bihar.
Manjhi died a frustrated man. His work was neither recognised nor awarded. But people will remember him and his story will inspire many.
A simple nd yet wondereful example that a mole(man) matter's in front of a mountain!
good thought with perfect motivation nd effort towards ur goal, will take u places!

Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE!!

Failure makes life a living hell!

Failure makes life a living hell , when ever we face failure in our life the only thing we do is to think about the mistake that cost us more than we could ever imagine, during those phases we do not feel like interacting with our  own people ,the  mother 's food we use to enjoy, relish  becomes a necessity and the night's which we use to be pleasant with sound sleep, now leaves us with worries about the past and sleeplessness!!
All we think about is how people around us ,our family ,our friend's will treat us,i just worry about how my family will take it.We try to re-live those moments which brought us the failure and sort out our mistakes ,most of us even me face failure because of laziness ,a disease which has crept into us like the air we breath.
Difficult times ahead is the only thing that scares the shit out of us,change of lifestyle ,we lose our self-confidence,everybody we will scrutinize us with the same thing over and over again and we feel WTF!!
I may sound cliche but yehi true hai!
Difficult times just indicate one thing ,the good times lie ahead just hold on their don't lose hope ,the greater the difficulty the more pleasant is the time ahead!!!
Failure slaps us in the public we feel embarrassed ,our mind just keeps playing past and worrying about what lies ahead ,just trust is god or destiny or even better yourself .That trust will give us the self confidence and again we shall rise!
Facing failure isn't a sin but , fearing it and not trying again is!!!!
when ever i feel happy ,and everything in my life is turning out the way i wanted it to be failure hits me in the face ,saying life is not a fairytale .During those low phases i stay at home for a day or two and try to redeem myself back to my normal life.Just remember one thing we did our best with what ever resources were provided to us at point of time!!!!
Arise ,Awake and stop Not till the Goal is reached-Swami Vivekanandha

Stay Hungry.Stay Foolish-A novel that infects us with the bug of Entreprenuership!

Stay hungry ,stay foolish (SHSF) a Novel by Rashmi Bansal is all about Inspiring stories of 25 IIM Ahmedabad graduates who chose to tread a path of their own!!!!The phrase stay hungry ,stay foolish was said by Apple companies former late CEO Steve Jobs is his speech at Stanford University Commencement in 2002."Stay Hungry,Stay Foolish".It was his farewell message as  he signed off! "Stay Hungry,Stay Foolish"I thought from here onwards  all my posts be short but this post is rather lengthy and its worth spending few minutes!!!

Now coming back to our novel SHSF ,which created a new record in Indian publishing by selling over 300,000 copies and has been translated into 8 languages. It was published in the year 2008 .

I Read this novel upon a friend's suggestion Goutham(aids) lol :D
even thought the book started quite boring because of the commerce and business related words that have been used in the book ,i was able to relate to the book in many ways and realized that only hard work  reward's us with Sucess ,their is no short cut at all! scary but true.
This novel is about the story of IIM (Indian Institute of Management ) ahmedabad who choose the rough road of entrepreneurship. They are people from middle class families of Indian inspite of the odds they made their marks in the Industry.
Personally a must read i say this for all the books i ve reads :P
This initial 75% book is rather interesting and is quite enjoyable ,we feel the urge to accomplish something in our lives . But the last 25% of the book is kinda boring and i didn't have the patience to read the last part  , but the book is worth reading.I read this book a year ago ,now started with it for the second time .
So thought let me share it with my unknown friends  that is you! :D
I liked the Sweet success Story of Shree Renukha sugars founded by Narendra Murkumbi  which is part of this book!
This book seek to inspire young graduates to look beyond placements and salaries and to believe in the dreams.
My Favorite lines from this book is  "the very act of becoming an entrepreneur is contrarian to middle class values of  study hard ,get a good job ,be happy with secure income and steady salary"

Stay Hungry,Stay Foolish-A book that infects us

with

 the bug of Entrepreneurship.
